It appears to have happened again.

Was another cop caught sleeping on the job? A 19 Action News viewer snapped a picture and sent it to us.

A prisoner in a hospital is a huge risk. No bars or locked doors, but they do have a guard. A a picture sent to 19 Action News appears to be a guard asleep.

A viewer took the picture on Saturday and sent to us.

He doesn’t want to be identified because he has a friend in bad shape on the same floor at Metro hospital.

“Their motto is to protect and serve and at this point I don’t feel that are they are protecting the public or serving the public because she’s sleeping on duty,” said the viewer.

He sent the cell phone picture to us because he knows we can get the to bottom of it.

We are talking to and tracking down who this might be. Is this a Cleveland officer? A Department of Corrections guard? Maybe a sheriff’s deputy?

“I hope Cleveland checks into it and finds out what’s going on with this lady,” said the viewer.

The man who took the picture did so partially because he had just seen 19 Action News Reporter Ed Gallek’s story about a guard, Constance Hereford. She was suspended, because in July she was asleep at South Pointe Hospital in Warrensville Heights and her prisoner, Erin Eckroad escaped.

So back to the current sleeping super cop. Who is she? Why is she sleeping at 2:15 in the afternoon, armed and just feet away from what appears to be a prisoner?

The man who snapped the picture is concerned for the safety of his friend on the same hospital floor.

“He can’t even really get up and get out of the way if something happens,” stated the viewer.
