Beyonce has been under scrutiny recently for ‘borrowing concepts’ from a Belgian choreographer in her “Countdown” video, but is Kelly Rowland guilty of doing the same thing with her new video?

By now, you’ve probably seen Kelly’s new Big-Sean-assisted “Lay It On Me” video in which she gets freaky with a Slinky and lies across a day bed made of sexy male underwear models. Are we surprised that it’s been blatantly done before?  In 2009, British Barbadian singer, Livvi Franc released a video to her song, “Now I’m That Bitch” and it featured three striking similarities: She sings in front of moving fabric, she stands naked between two strips of latex barely covering her goodies and she works it on top of the same man-made day bed as Kelly Rowland.  Both women are in control in their videos. Kelly’s just has more sex appeal.

But Kelly might not be recreating Livvi’s video. The director is. Both clips were directed by Sarah Chatfield. If Kelly didn’t know the storyboard she was looking at for her video was used just two years ago for another one of Chatfield’s creations, Kelly wasn’t really stealing. Right?

Does this mean her video director is running out of fresh ideas? Who would really pitch the same concept to another client two years later and think it would go unnoticed?  Scandalous…
