Shortly after midnight last night, officers from the Akron Police Department and the University of Akron Police Department responded to a shooting in the 600 block of Sherman Street where they located six victims.
The victims were transported to local hospitals with non-life threatening injuries.
After investigating, police learned that several guests were asked to leave a party following a fight. A couple minutes later a male returned and fired several shots into the crowd, then fled.
Six males found in the area and arrested for Aggravated Riot: Cordell J. Midgett-Crosby, 20, of Cleveland; Adrian Simmons, 20, of Cleveland; Frank Clardy, 20, of South Euclid; Darrel Crosby Jr, 20, of South Euclid; Lovell White, 23, of Cleveland; and Arturo Norris, 23, of Bedford Heights.
The victims were six males, 18 – 41 years old. Three of the victims were from Akron, two from Cleveland and one from Warrensville Heights.
