Awwww shucks! Show this to yo hubby, boyfriend!

A new study found that cheating may make a man more likely to suffer from penile fractures. Researchers at the University of Maryland Medical Center looked at guys who “broke” their penises (it’s not actually a break, it’s a rupturing of one of the tubelike chambers in his stuff) and found that the majority were having extramarital affairs at the time.

Most of the victims were having sex in unusual places, such as bathrooms or the workplace, when the breakage occurred.

Urologist Andrew Kramer, says it makes sense that cheating in strange places led to a greater risk of a wounded beef (we said it not him). “In such atypical situations, sex may be rushed and involve unusual or awkward sexual positions”.

OK, so the study only looked at 16 men because it was too tough to find subjects for such a study. And while we normally say that such a small-scale study requires more research to be conclusive, we’re totally fine with you telling your man that cheating has been scientifically and absolutely linked to a broken penis.

Of course, faithful men break their penises too—though this study argues it’s less common. According to the Mayo Clinic, it can happen to anyone—even someone who’s simply having sex with himself. Penile fracture is “usually related to aggressive or acrobatic sexual intercourse or, in some cases, aggressive masturbation”.

If your guy suffers from breakage, he should seek medical attention immediately. Yes, it’s embarrassing, but the alternative could be much worse: severe curvature, trouble peeing, and erectile dysfunction just can’t get it up and we know that would crush some women and… men LOL.
