Cleveland firefighters responded Monday afternoon to an abandoned house that was on fire on E. 64th St. near Collier.

Officials say the fire jumped to a duplex next door. There were two women at the lower residents and an alert neighbor knocked on their door and help get them out.

Luckily no one was home in the upstairs apartment.

There were no injuries, but one woman who lived in the lower unit says she lost everything.

Fire investigators are still looking into the cause, they will be back out Tuesday to continue the investigation.

The Red Cross is assisting the six people who lived in the upstairs unit and family and friends are helping the women who lived in the lower unit.

The fire dept. says the homes that were lived in have about $50,000 worth of damage.
