The legendary Debbie Allen stopped by Wendy Williams this past Friday to share some scoop on some of her celebrity friends. The multi-talented actress/dancer/director/producer had some words of wisdom for Fantasia Barrino. When asked how the troubled R&B singer can get her career and reputation back on track, Allen offered the following advice:
“I wish she would step away from all the people around her so she can hear her own voice. She has a gift from God–God would help tell her where to go. She’s got too many leeches around her.”
Allen also revealed her close relationship with Mariah Carey. Allen has directed and produced two of Mariah’s world concert tours, and was present when Mariah gave birth to twins Moroccan and Monroe earlier this year. On the subject of Mariah and Nick Cannon Allen said:
“They are such a beautiful family. Nick Cannon is the best thing that’s happened to her–they are the real deal.”
