Some things are more important than winning or feeling superior. For months, Usher and his ex-wife Tameka Raymond have been involved in a vicious, mean-spirited and expensive custody battle over their two children, but now none of that seems relevant or worth arguing over.

Over the weekend, eleven-year-old Kyle Glover, Tameka’s son and Usher’s step-son was accidentally struck by a passing jet ski while tubing in Atlanta, along with an unidentified fifteen-year-old girl. Details are still very fuzzy, but the boy is reportedly in critical condition with a severe head injury. Doctors reportedly think he may be brain dead, and those closest to the family are asking for prayers.

According to US Weekly the traumatic situation has caused Usher and Tameka to put aside their differences. The musician has reportedly reached out to offer his emotional support to both mother and her boy who he spent years raising. Right now, Kyle needs love more than anything else, and it’s nice to know the entire family has realized what is truly important.
