The world was sitting on pins and needles waiting to hear the whereabouts of Caylee Anthony and the media attention led to the grisly discovery of her body.  There have been other discoveries of high profile cases, but those discoveries begin with media attention.

But, the latest case out of South Carolina has gotten little media attention in nearly a year that little Amir Jennings has been missing.  He went missing December 2011.  His mother, Zinah Jennings, 23, was in a traffic accident on Christmas Eve and arrested. She was convicted Friday on a charge related to his disappearance and  sentenced to 10 years in prison. The prosecution witnesses said “she was stressed and pondered selling or giving away the boy.”

Since being prosecuted and placed behind bars, she has still not given up the location of the child, but claims he’s alive and  somewhere safe.

If you have seen this little face, he is Amir Jennings and his grandmother has just celebrated his second birthday.

Please contact National Center for Missing & Exploited Children at 800-843-5678 if you see this child.
