CLEVELAND, OH – Cuyahoga County shoppers take advantage of last minute shopping opportunities.

Shelves at Walgreens stores are stocked with the basics from toys to clocks to wine for last minute shoppers this Christmas Eve.

“As you can see we make it convenient for that last minute shopper to squeeze in the one more thing,” said Store Manager, Adisa Zagic, “It’s been hectic all day. This was definitely the last minute shopper kind of store, but we make it convenient by staying open Christmas Eve and Christmas day.”

Last minute shopper, Linda Scott is on the job making sure her son is happy. She almost forgot his stocking stuffers.

“I looked at my son’s stocking and said oh my gosh I forgot to buy anything to put into his stocking. He’s been looking at the stocking and wondering what Santa’s going to leave and I forgot so I think it’s important,” said Scott.

So she shopped. Up and down the aisles she went looking for small things for his stocking. “A scorpion hot wheels, every kid needs a scorpion hotwheels, jingle bells,” she explained.

Last minute shopper, Roberta Jordan, was doing the same. She’d forgotten a few things herself.

“Last minute couple of little gifts to put in stocking stuffers, things of that sort that I forgot to do and it just hit me today so I’m here,” said Jordan.

Great Northern Mall shopper, Dave Johnson, is shopping for his inlaws before they hit the roadways traveling.

“My wife Libby and I are finishing up our last minute Christmas shopping we head to see relatives in couple days just a little give and take,” he said.

“I am a late starter I’m late getting started,” said shopper Greg Lockhart who used an age old excuse.

“That’s what I do I’m a guy, guys shop last minute don’t they,” said Lockhart.

It was 3p.m. with 3 hours before the doors close and Lockhart was just starting from scratch with his shopping list.

“Last minute shopping I don’t’ know what I’m getting that’s the worst part about it. Mothers, sisters, brother,” he said.

Lockhart was up against the clock; but for him it was no sweat.

“I work better under pressure,” he said.

If you’ve forgotten something, don’t fret. Walgreens will remain open overnight for last minute shoppers.
