The Cleveland Browns have hired Rob Chudzinski as their new coach, sources told ESPN.

Chudzinski, 44, has spent the past two seasons as the Carolina Panthers‘ offensive coordinator. He also served two stints as an assistant with the Browns, the team he cheered for while growing up in Toledo, Ohio.

Chudzinski will target former San Diego Chargers coach Norv Turner to be his offensive coordinator, a source told ESPN. Turner’s son, Scott, worked for Chudzinski in Carolina.

The Browns will formally introduce Chudzinski at a news conference on Friday, a source told ESPN.

The hire of Chudzinski ends a two-week coaching search for the Browns, who fired Pat Shurmur on Dec. 31 after going 5-11 this season.
