The owner of the famous Cleveland restaurant “Hot Sauce Williams” has died.
Barbara Williams, wife of Lemaud Williams, told NewsChannel5 her husband died from a massive stroke on Sunday. He was 73 years old.
According to Barbara Williams, Lemaud has suffered from Alzheimer’s for the last 6 to 7 years.
The funeral is set for Monday at 11 a.m. at St. Aloysius Church at East 109th and St. Clair.
The restaurant, located on Carnegie Avenue at East 79th in the city’s Fairfax neighborhood, has become a Cleveland staple. It’s best known for its ribs, barbeque sauce and unique purple and pink exterior.
The restaurant was also featured on the show “Anthony Bourdains’s No Reservations” on the Travel Channel and “Man vs. Food” on Food Networ
