CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) –

Clevelanders love a party and the Indians home opener is as good a reason as any to throw an all day celebration.   It was before 9 a.m. when the Browns Bunch van rolled into the parking lot across from the Q Arena.

“Today it’s Tribe time,” said the Browns Bunch van driver Jason Darwish.

The Browns Bunch are a group of Muni Lot tailgaters who break out the tailgate party every year for the Tribe’s home opener.

“I am late, I am usually here by 7 a.m., this is my big day,” said Molly, known as the Muni Mom.

“A lot of the guys and girls from the Browns Bunch will be down here, as well as friends and family.  We all look forward to the home opener,” said Darwish.

The Browns Bunch was early for the party, but Michael McTighe of Euclid was the first guy on scene.  McTighe rented a massive R. V. that was parked by 7:30 a.m.  A popcorn machine and a fully stocked bar were all set up inside the R. V., outside the hot dogs were cooking and they were loaded down with snacks for a long pre-game party.

“I am hoping to start a new tradition with the R. V. at the home opener and then if they make the playoffs, we’ll have one game when the R. V. will roll out,” said McTighe.
