KENT, Ohio – Students at Theodore Roosevelt High School in Kent are mourning the loss of a friend and athlete who died unexpectedly during practice.
Devon Conwell, a sophomore at Theodore Roosevelt, died Wednesday during basketball practice in Twinsburg.
Patch.com reports Conwell’s Facebook page turned into a real-time memorial Thursday as friends posted goodbye messages.

Conwell was “an up and coming athlete of both football and basketball and was adored by many,” a viewer said in an email to NewsChannel5.
The cause of Conwell’s death will be determined by the medical examiner.
Conwell also played football for the Rough Riders.
