Students at Strongsville High School were treated to an extra special guest speaker Tuesday evening.

Todd Waites, also known as the “One Armed Keyboardist,” spoke at the school’s football stadium for the ‘Fields of Faith Event.’

Waites, who is a Strongsville native, had his right arm amputated 20 years ago to save him from dying from cancer. Now, he travels the country sharing his inspirational story, and how his faith in God has allowed him to continue to live a positive and productive life.

Waites had a special message for the Strongsville High School students.

“Being different isn’t really a bad thing. The people who feel different, and the people who judge people for being different, just need to understand that we’re all different,” said Waites.

He has been a motivational speaker for three years now.
