Danvers schools were closed Wednesday due to an “ongoing homicide investigation,” according to the Essex County District Attorney’s Office, reports CBS Boston station WBZ-TV.

A spokesperson for the D.A. said more information would be provided at a morning news conference.

Danvers police had been searching for a missing 14-year-old student overnight who, police say, has now been found safe.

Philip Chism had recently moved there from Tennessee.

Police would not comment on the search or the homicide investigation, referring all questions to the District Attorney’s office, but they told WBZ parents needn’t be concerned.
