John Legend Thinks Tebow Is “Extra-Ordinary” [VIDEO]

Besides bring a Grammy winning R&B superstar, John Legend is a huge sports fan. He made an appearance on First Take where he sang a parody of his signature ballad, “Ordinary People.” Legend changed the lyrics to reference Skip Bayless and Stephen A. Smith’s constant debates about Denver Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow. John Legend basically said everything sports fans were thinking. Yes, Tebow’s wins come out of nowhere, but we don’t want to hear about that on every show. There are other players, like the ones who made it to the Super Bowl.

In what was most likely a preview of the NBA’s Eastern Conference Finals, LeBron James and the Miami Heat looked to send a message to the Chicago Bulls. On the way to a 97 to 93 win at American Airlines Arena LeBron made a step ladder out of an unsuspecting John Lucas, III.

The 5’11 guard was victimized in the first quarter when LeBron caught an alley-oop pass from D-Wade and the “King” leapt OVER him on his way to the basket. It was two of 35 points James scored on the night. Watch the embarrassment below.

Police Called To Kim Kardashian’s House

Last night an unknown man went to Kim Kardashian‘s house in Beverly Hills with luggage intending to stay with her, and police were called. He was not able to gain access to Kim’s home because of the gate, but told security he was there to work on her reality show.

Security asked him to leave but he wouldn’t, and security then contacted the police. More details are available at TMZ.

EPIC to FTC: Google Search Plus may violate privacy, antitrust rules

The Electronic Privacy Information Center today asked regulators to look into whether Google's new Search Plus feature violates federal antitrust rules and poses consumer privacy concerns. Inspiration for ‘Jerry Maguire’ Files for Bankruptcy

Sports agent Leigh Steinberg, the inspiration for the “show me the money” character in the movie “Jerry Maguire,” filed for bankruptcy protection for debt ranging from $1 million to $5 million.

Steinberg, who represented NFL stars like Troy Aikman, Steve Young and Ben Roethlisberger, cited his children’s health problems, a “forbidden” business transaction from one of his employees, and a former struggle with alcoholism as catalysts for the financial problems.

His attorney, Alessandro Assanti, said Steinberg’s two children had suffered “serious medical issues,” including the eye disease retinitis pigmentosa, which can cause near blindness. That and other problems caused Steinberg to turn to alcohol, Assanti added, though he has been sober since 2010.

“So many terrible things were going on in his life personally, it was difficult to balance,” Assanti said.

Steinberg’s attorneys filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy protection late Wednesday in Santa Ana, Calif.

He has represented at least six of the NFL’s No. 1 draft picks since 1989, according to The New York Times.

Stephen Cannella, a Sports Illustrated senior editor, said in many ways Steinberg created the role of the modern sports agent — not just in football but in every sport. He had the ability to negotiate big-money contracts and he was the first agent to develop a superagent persona.

“If you were a top-tier player, especially a quarterback, then there was little debate over who you wanted your agent to be,” Cannella wrote in an email. “Having him as representation almost became a status symbol for players coming out of college, a way of announcing yourself as a start before you had even signed a contract.”
