A college student says she was attacked at a RTA stop and when she tried to call for help, the call box didn’t work.

39 year old Allison Lancaster, a nursing student who spends much of her time volunteering as a suicide prevention counselor, was walking out of the RTA station on West 65th Saturday night when she was attacked by 4 teenagers.
“I was on the ground, there was blood everywhere. People screaming. And it was just surreal,” said Allison Lancaster.
She tried to use one of the emergency call boxes, but it was broken.
With no one around, Allison a transgender female, was kicked and beaten until she was unconscious. She says the teenagers were shouting gay slurs.
“I had my big pink sweater on and that probably set em off,” Allison Lancaster said.
She was taken by ambulance to Metro, where she says an officer took a very cursory report, and walked away.
As someone who’s always been there for victims of domestic violence, Alison feels like he was brushed off by the officer who took the report. One look at the report shows there are few details, and at least one glaring omission. To the question “was this a hate crime?” The officer wrote no, “not applicable.”
Police are promising to put a detective on the case. So far no detective.
