Latest Group Of Candidates For Cuyahoga County

CLEVELAND, Ohio — Five more candidates — a mix of new and experienced — are in the mix for the inaugural Cuyahoga County Council.

Several intriguing storylines could emerge from the latest crop, which includes a couple of political veterans, a couple of newcomers and a murderer-turned-community activist.

North Olmsted City Councilwoman Nicole Dailey Jones will seek the Democratic nomination in District 1. If she wins, Jones could face off with Dave Greenspan, a former city councilman in suburban Atlanta who will compete in the Republican primary.

Sandra White, a Democrat who has worked behind the scenes on local and state campaigns, plans to be on a ballot for the first time in District 9. Another novice, Cleveland State University graduate student Kestutis “KC” Petraitis, will run as a Democrat in District 10.
