Daniel Craig is a very private man, on screen and off. On film, he plays a journalist doing important investigative work, as well as the world’s most famous spy; in real life, he does things like get married in super secret ceremonies. And as he tells British GQ, he’s got good reason for all the secrecy; once you go Kardashian, you never go back.

“I think there’s a lot to be said for keeping your own counsel,” Craig tells the magazine. “You can’t buy it back. You can’t buy your privacy back. ‘Ooh, I want to be alone. ‘F*ck you. We’ve been in your living room. We were at your birth. You filmed it for us and showed us the placenta, and now you want some privacy?’”

In case he wasn’t clear enough that he was talking about the Kardashians — hey, reality shows blend together — he then emphasized his target.

“It’s a career. What can I tell you?” he continues. “It is a career; I’m not being cynical. And why wouldn’t you? Look at the Kardashians, they’re worth millions. Millions! I don’t think they were that badly off to begin with, but now look at them. You see that and you think, ‘What, you mean all I have to do is behave like a f*cking idiot on television and then you’ll pay me millions?’”

In fact, Craig’s comments are quite salient on a day when Kourtney Kardashian announced that she is pregnant… on the cover of Us Weekly.

Don’t expect Craig to open up much, either; this summer, in an interview with Esquire, he was pretty defiant on the subject of personal publicity.

“This has become my way, it’s as simple as that,” he told the magazine. “I mean, since I’ve just become James Bond. And I think, you know, that means being something that people feel they own. And all of the sudden I’m getting magazine covers, when I got nothing for ten years before that. I say it’s just pure luck. And doing covers, people interviewing me, and they want to know everything and I’m going, I’m not gonna f*cking tell you!”

Craig’s secrecy serves him well when it comes to his film career. He has had to keep his mouth shut about “Dragon Tattoo,” though he did rave to GQ about his co-star, Rooney Mara.

“Poor girl,” Craig sympathizes. “She’s not been allowed in the sunlight either, she’s borderline anaemic. But she’s incredibly sexy and incredibly beautiful underneath all that. That’s what you discover, and [director] David [Fincher] was absolutely adamant that was what we needed to do to discover her, both as a character and an actress. I think that was a great decision.”

Mara remembered the intense audition process in an interview earlier this fall with EW, saying that she had nearly had it with the entire thing before she was offered the role.

“At that point I was just super frustrated. I was like, ‘You have to decide. Either you think I’m the girl or you don’t. There’s not much more I can do to prove it to you,’” she told the magazine. “I went in there sort of ready to fight. I was pissed. But David sat me down and gave me this long speech about the part. Then he handed me his iPad, and it had the press release on it. He said, ‘I’m prepared to send this out. You have half an hour to let me know if you want the part.’”

Bill Cosby has had some of the most successful family shows on television. The Fat Albert show and The Cosby show were both dedicated to the well-being of families and children. Now he’s written a book called I Didn’t Ask To Be Born: But I’m Glad I Was. Needless to say, the book is also in the same vain as all of his other contributions…parenthood.
Mr. Cosby sat down with the Today show Thursday and delved into a few topics of raising children, but he gave an endearing view of his wife and what motherhood should resemble. The comedian and activist also told Today what he thought about single mothers and how effective they are and can be.

CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) – -

Matthew Fox is not charged with any criminal offense in connection to an incident on a Party Bus in the Flats.

The City of Cleveland Officials just told our Investigative Reporter Scott Taylor “After a thorough review of the facts”, the Prosecutor’s Office has decided not to charge.

Heather Bormann, the driver of the bus, just filed a lawsuit against Fox claiming he was drunk and attacked her after she refused to allow him on her private bus. Fox has never commented on the incident.

United Airlines is investigating a complaint made by an actor who appeared on the TV show “Barbershop” after he claimed he was kicked off of a flight simply because he was black.

Michael Colyar claims he was booted from his flight at Dulles International Airport in Virginia after he refused to allow a flight attendant to move his luggage from the overhead storage bin … so a white passenger could stow her bag there instead.

Colyar claims the flight attendant gave him dirty looks when he denied her request — so he inquired about filing a complaint. That’s when Colyar says he was approached by security, who removed the actor from the flight.

Colyar blogged about the incident … saying, “The flight attendant and her friend got just what they wanted, the n**ger off the plane. I’m sure they feel a great triumph in putting an uppity n**ger in his place.”

He adds, “At the least I should be suing United Airlines for theft of services, public humiliation and defamation of character.”

United Airlines tells TMZ … “As a global airline with a diverse workforce, United has zero tolerance for any type of discrimination and we take every such matter seriously. We spoke to Mr. Colyar Wednesday so that we can address his concerns, and committed to get back to him as we learn more from our coworkers and other customers onboard.”

Sources connected to the incident tell us multiple passengers have been interviewed about the situation — and several people said Colyar was loud with the flight attendant and had become an unruly passenger.

(CNN) — Former child star Gary Coleman, who rose to fame as the wisecracking youngster Arnold Jackson on the TV sitcom “Diff’rent Strokes” but grew up to grapple with a troubled adulthood, has died. He was 42.

Coleman died of a brain hemorrhage at a Provo, Utah hospital, Friday afternoon, according to a hospital spokeswoman. The actor fell ill at his Santaquin, Utah, home Wednesday evening and was rushed by ambulance to a hospital, Coleman’s spokesman had said in a statement earlier Friday.

He was then taken to another hospital — Utah Valley Regional Medical Center in Provo — later Wednesday night.

In the late ’70s and early ’80s, Coleman was one of television’s brightest stars, the personality around which NBC’s “Strokes” — the story of two inner-city children who are taken in by a wealthy businessman, his daughter and their housekeeper — was built.

His natural charm and way with a line — the frequently uttered “Whatchoo talkin’ ’bout, Willis?”, directed at his older brother (played by Todd Bridges), became a catchphrase –helped make the show a breakout hit, a mainstay of the NBC schedule from 1978 to 1985 (and on ABC for a year afterward).

But in later years Coleman’s name became a punch line. He was denigrated because of his short stature — he never grew taller than 4 feet 8 inches because of nephritis, a kidney condition. He sued his parents over mismanagement of his finances; though he won a $1.3 million settlement in 1993, he had to file for bankruptcy six years later. He was occasionally in the news for scuffles. He appeared on TV court shows and had a brief run for governor of California.

Hall of Fame football player and actor Merlin Olsen, a giant man who friends say had an even larger heart, died Thursday after a long battle with cancer, football and university officials said.

He was 69.

Known as much for his brain as his brawn, the 6-foot-5, 270-pound defensive tackle also graduated summa cum laude and Phi Kappa Phi from Utah State University in 1962 and earned a master’s degree in economics in the off-season during his 15-year professional career.

“Merlin Olsen was a coach’s player. Punctual, steady, gifted, a quiet leader, a player you could always count on,” says his biography on the National Football League Hall of Fame Web site. “He was a standout as a rookie and thereafter stood out in every game he played for the Rams in a 15-year career. Every game. Fifteen years.”

There may be no better evidence of Olsen’s strength than his feat of playing in 208 professional games, the last 198 in a row.

At Utah State University from 1959-1961, Olsen earned All-American honors during his junior and senior years. As a senior, he won the 1961 Outland Trophy as the nation’s outstanding interior defensive lineman.

After being drafted by the Rams with a No. 1 pick in 1962, Olsen was voted into the Pro Bowl as a rookie, the first of his 14 Pro Bowl appearances. He also made two All-Decade teams and was a six-time All-Pro.

Olsen was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1982, his first year of eligibility.

After his professional playing career ended in 1976, Olsen turned to acting, appearing in movies and more than 100 TV episodes. He also worked as a television sports commentator.

On TV, he may best be remembered for portraying the gentle Jonathan Garvey opposite Michael Landon on “Little House on the Prairie” from 1977 to 1981 and the lead role in “Father Murphy” from 1981 to 1983.

In addition, Olsen did voice-overs in commercials for the floral delivery company FTD as well as commercials for syndicated airings of “The X-Files” TV program.

LOS ANGELES – Actor Louis Gossett Jr, best known for his Oscar-winning role as the tough drill instructor in “An Officer and a Gentleman”, said on Tuesday he was fighting prostate cancer.

Gossett, 73, said his cancer was in its early stages and that he was going public to encourage African-Americans to seek early examinations and treatment for the disease.
