Tentative agreement reached on Cleveland teachers’ contract

CLEVELAND, Ohio — The Cleveland teachers union reached a tentative contract agreement with Cleveland Municipal School District Monday night.

The agreement must now be approved by teachers and the school board. Details of the tentative agreement will not be disclosed until both teachers and board members review it, officials said.

Teachers union officials said the tentative three-year agreement, if passed, will see many laid-off union members returned to the classroom
