JJ Hairston & Youthful Praise have re-signed with Light Records. The Connecticut-based musician and praise group will continue their long term relationship with the label that began in 2001 with the release Awesome God. This partnership has produced five albums including their latest chart topping smash Resting On His Promise. The group was the opening act for the 2011 Stellar Awards and Hairston will take on hosting duties for new TV effort titled 15th Street Live on TBN.
Currently Hairston writes, produces, and leads YP, although in his youth he did not imagine himself in such a position. He is a member of Cathedral of Praise C.O.G.I.C., Int’l. in Bridgeport, CT under the leadership of two gospel music legends, Bishop J.C. White and Evangelist Gloria White.
