A Southwest Airlines pilot has been suspended after his cock-pit microphone was accidentally left on, broadcasting a homophobic and misogynistic rant.
The pilot, who’s name has not been released, could be heard complaining to his co-pilot about how he couldn’t find a flight attendant to sleep with, because they are all “gays,” “over-weight,” or “grannies.”
The pilot was suspended without pay, but the airline would not say how long the suspension lasted.
“A continuous stream of gays and grannies and grandes,” the pilot said over the Houston Center air traffic control frequency, which covers hundreds of miles over Texas.
“Eleven (expletive) over-the-top (expletive) ass (expletive) homosexuals and a granny,” the pilot said as he complained to his co-pilot about the lack of flight attendants who caught his interest.
