Tea Party favorite, Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.) formally declared her intention to run for the US presidency in the 2012 elections.

Addressing a crowd in her home state of Iowa on Monday, Ms. Bachmann called herself  a “bold choice” for the presidency, and pointed to her record as a tax lawyer and founder of a charter school.

The Huffington Post reports:

Speaking in the town of Waterloo, Ms Bachmann said Americans should not stand for overpriced health care, increasing amounts of debt and continued unemployment, all of which are trademarks of the Obama administration.
