NEW YORK — The father of the children who were driven into the Hudson River by their mother, LaShanda Armstrong,  is suing New York City for $40 million.

Black News 2 reports:

Pierre, Armstrong’s 26-year-old estranged boyfriend, says there should have been proper barriers erected to keep vehicles from going into the river. He also claims Orange County’s Department of Child Protective Services had the responsibility to monitor the 25-year-old woman.

Pierre and Armstrong had gotten into a screaming fight earlier on the night she drove into the river. Her relatives said she had been driven to the edge by her rocky relationship with Pierre, but his lawyer insisted that was not the case.
