A man was arrested and indicted after a homeowner told police he woke up to find a man in his house, trying to kidnap his daughter.
According to the Willard Police Department, the incident happened on W. Pearl Street in Willard on Sept. 1 around 4 a.m.
A police report stated the homeowner’s daughter woke up to find a man stroking her forehead with his finger, then he grabbed her and carried her toward the door.
The girl got away by convincing the man to let her get something. Instead, she alerted her family and her father chased the man out of the home.
