This particular faction of evangelical Christianity represents a religious stronghold that seems to be one of the last bastions to be relinquished in mainline fundamentalism. It suggests the beginning of a major admission that an Almighty God either can’t, doesn’t or simply won’t “deliver” many sincerely intentioned gays by freeing them from their sexual orientation to comply more with what religion insists be their reality or at least to live without indulging in such “unnatural” and “ungodly” appetites. This will make for some very interesting and intriguing conversations about the increasing advent of the “New Normal.”
Ready or not, here it comes and is! This is a real “What would Jesus do” moment in time and history.
