A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY has been issued for Lorain, Cuyahoga, Geauga, Ashtabula, Seneca, Huron, Medina, Summit, Portage, Trumbull, Richland, Ashland, Wayne, Stark, Mahoning and Holmes County until 10 p.m. Friday night.
A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY also has been issued for Columbiana, Carroll, Tuscarawas and Coshocton Counties from 4 a.m. until midnight Friday night.
Here is the latest from the National Weather Service in Cleveland…
* Accumulations…2 to 4 inches of snow with some freezing rain and sleet also possible.
* Timing…mixed rain…sleet and snow will develop through midnight changing to mostly snow later tonight into Friday morning then tapering off Friday evening.
* Winds…mainly less than 15 mph.
* Impacts…snow accumulation can make roads slick…requiring lower speeds and greater distances between vehicles while driving.
* Temperatures…falling into the upper 20s to lower 30s overnight then holding nearly steady Friday.
* Visibilities…a quarter mile or less at times in the heavier snow.
