Many people would’ve taken a different course, but Tamron Hall took the high road after encountering a reporter’s insensitive response after she spoke on the murder of her sister.

The Huffington Post reports that those in the audience were unanimous in saying that Hall displayed “total grace” in light of the situation, which produced an awkward moment.

The moment came after the NBC news anchor reportedly shared her memories of the 2004 homocide of her sister during a Television Critics Association panel this past Thursday in Pasadena, CA. According to The Wrap, Hall opened up about her regrets for not acting sooner against her sister’s attacker.

“I should have hugged my sister, and I should have found help for her,” said Hall, who addressed her sister’s murder in August while discussing her new show, “Deadline: Crime with Tamron Hall.” The show, is scheduled for a September interview on Investigation Discovery.

During her speech, a reporter identified by The Wrap’s Tim as television critic Jonathan Storm set off the awkward moment , saying “That’s all nice, but can you answer my question?”
