Now that the interviews are over, new Browns Head Coach, Mike Pettine is ready to get to work.
The Browns officially named Pettine as their new coach on Thursday afternoon. The announcement came just hours after Pettine arrived at the Berea facility for what was his third meeting with the Browns front office.
WKYC has learned that Pettine was offered a five year contract. No other details are available at this time.
Pettine was then introduced to the media during a Thursday afternoon news conference.
Browns owner Jimmy Haslam says Mike Pettine is a perfect fit for the team and fans.
Pettine said, “It’s been my life-long dream to be an NFL head coach and however that opportunity presents itself, I’ll take it…the fans here are among the most loyal.”
