Season 12 “American Idol” winner Candice Glover is finally releasing her debut album, Music Speaks, on February 18.
Glover is the first female winner of the show since Jordin Sparks won in 2007, and the fourth African-American winner in American Idol history. She is also the only winner to have auditioned three times before being cast for the live shows. Her debut album Music Speaks is scheduled for release on Feb. 18, after it was pushed back from October and July 2013.
Bostonglobe.com said it is a traditional song-based album without the bombardment of guest emcee’s added for crossover appeal and that the focus will remain consistently on Glover’s rich, extensive vocal ability.
