Four new high schools are set to open in the Cleveland Metropolitan School District. One of those schools, Bard High School Early College Cleveland, is  a partnership between CMSD and New York’s Bard College. It is set to  open on Cleveland’s west side this fall with ninth and eleventh graders.

“It is one of our most requested high school to date. We are really excited,” said CMSD Chief Portfolio Officer Christine Fowler-Mack.

The four year public high school will offer typical courses of study in freshman and sophomore years of college. CMSD said money is a big reason why many CMSD graduates don’t go on to college.
