The Cuyahoga County March into Kindergarten wants parents to get a head start on registering their kids for Kindergarten.

The campaign wants to remind parents that the time to register kids is now, even if your child won’t be five until later on.

“Many parents don’t realize they can and should register their children in March, but it’s important to the child, the parent and the school that they do,” says Billie Osborne-Fears, Executive Director of Starting Point.

“Kindergarten is a new experience for children. They need to be prepared, and schools need to be prepared for them. Registering in March gives everyone time to learn about each other so the transition is smooth. When school is over for the Summer, it’s too late.”
