A Northeast Ohio rape crisis center has received high marks that make it a leader in the nation.
The Cleveland Rape Crisis Center is now the nation’s first and only rape crisis center to receive accreditation from the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities.
“CRCC has offered exceptional services to survivors of sexual violence in this community for 40 years. CARF accreditation is more confirmation that the work we do to support survivors and promote prevention is of the highest quality,” said Sondra Miller, President and CEO, in a news release. “Cleveland was one of the first cities in the nation to launch a rape crisis center in the 1970s. We continue to be a leader in the rape crisis movement by pursuing and earning this accreditation.”
The three-year accreditation is the highest level that an organization of this type can earn.
