1. FRIGID WEATHER

That’s what legit meteorologists say is behind the brutal forecast that could leave Minneapolis under a foot of snow and parts of Montana below zero degrees this week. But even if you don’t live up there, chances are you’ll still need to really bundle up. This cold snap will likely affect 200 million people.
2. NORTH KOREA FREES AMERICANS
At last: After months (or even years) detained by the North Korean regime, Americans Kenneth Bae and Matthew Todd Miller are back on U.S. soil. North Korean leader Kim Jong Un ordered their release after a U.S. official visited, with a letter from President Obama in tow. Bae and Miller were the last two known Americans held captive by the North Korean government.
3. EBOLA
Unstoppable nurse: Kaci Hickox and her boyfriend are planning to travel to southern Maine after her 21-day monitoring period ends this week. Hickox, who recently returned to the United States after treating Ebola patients in Sierra Leone, defied a quarantine in a tense standoff with state authorities. A judge eventually ruled in her favor. While Hickox has tested negative for Ebola, the virus is continuing its deadly march in West Africa, where it has killed almost 5,000 people.
