Pastor of Deeper Fellowship Church and worship leader William McDowell is known for anthems like “I Give Myself Away” and “Withholding Nothing.”

To acknowledge his first ever GRAMMY® nomination, the minstrel shared a message on Instagram everyone should read.

“All my life all I’ve ever really wanted to do was be pleasing to God. I consider it a high honor that He would choose to use me this way because He never needs any of us,” wrote McDowell.

The Ohio born, Orlando, Florida based gospel artist is up for the “Best Gospel Album” award for Withholding Nothing (LIVE). He shares this category with Erica Campbell, Ricky Dillard & New G, Smokie Norful and Anita Wilson.

“We don’t do what we do for recognition but for His glory and His glory alone,” ASCAP Award-winning, Stellar and Dove Award nominatedMcDowell continued.
