Speaking out for the first time in weeks, Brown says that his family is focused on Krissy’s recovery following her January 31 hospitalization.
“I am making decisions with Pat Houston, and we are working together for the medical care of my daughter,” Brown said in a statement to ABC News. “Right now, we are focused on Bobbi Kristina’s medical prognosis and the criminal investigation. These are the priorities for us. Whoever had a hand in causing my daughter’s injuries needs to be brought to justice.”
Bobby’s sister, Leolah Brown, said in a social media posting last week, that Pat Houston, who once served as Whitney Houston’s manager, wanted Bobbi Kristina to die in order to inherit her late mother’s fortune. She also claimed Pat was not allowed near her niece, “per Bobbi Kristina’s request.”
In the days that followed her scandalous accusations, Bobby Brown released a statement in which he alluded to his sister’s repeated public remarks about his daughter as a “side-show.”
“Unless you hear it directly from me or through my attorney, do not believe any words attributed to me,” Bobby said in a written statement. He continued: “I do not have time for the frequent side shows that others choose to engage in almost on a daily basis.”
Pat Houston is the wife of Whitney Houston’s brother Gary. She is also the executor of the music legend’s estate.
