GETTY:

It is the scandal that has dominated press headlines for quite some time and finally, President Barack Obama answered a question about Bill Cosby.

During a Wednesday White House press conference, he said no civilized country should ever tolerate rape.

In response to a reporter’s query, Obama said “we don’t have that mechanism” to revoke the Presidential Medal of Freedom from Cosby, who has been accused of sexual assault by dozens of women.

While POTUS declined to address the allegations directly, he said,  “I’ll say this. If you give a woman — or a man, for that matter — without his or her knowledge a drug, and then have sex with that person without consent, that’s rape. And I think this country, any civilized country, should have no tolerance for rape.”
