*Derrick Rose is taking a stand against an ex-girlfriend/groupie with his side of the story regarding accusations that he and his friends of drugged and gang raped her.
TMZ Sports reports that Rose filed documents, claiming the accuser “consented to sexual interaction with more than one co-defendant on more than one occasion, consented to sexual interactions on the day in question, and invited the defendants to her apartment and buzzed them in.”
According to the NBA star, things were cool the day after the incident. So much so that the accuser casually had a cup of coffee with her roommate the morning after… and headed to work for a full shift.
At the heart of Rose’s implication is the belief that a rape victim would have been way too distraught to have reacted the way his accuser reacted. He goes on to say in the documents that the woman only started to get upset with him a few weeks or months later. The reason, he said stems from her feeling that she should have been reimbursed for one of the sex toys she bought and used during the night in question.
The athlete added that the woman became even angrier with him because he started ignoring her texts. Overall, the woman is suing Rose for unspecified damages.
Rose mentioned this week that he’s refusing to let the woman’s lawsuit change his lifestyle.
Rose’s response to the lawsuit comes as he works on recovering from an injury he got Tuesday (Sept. 29) during practice. According to NBA.com, the Chicago Bulls Guard was struck in the face by an elbow and was taken by the team’s medical staff to Rush University Medical Center in Chicago for testing and evaluation.
