SANDUSKY, Ohio – Cedar Point and Soak City will be closed Monday due to a heavy storm that rolled through Sandusky Sunday, according to park officials.
Winds and heavy rains damaged power lines during the storm. Police and fire closed down the causeway leading into the park.
Some visitors reported they were stranded between power lines for over five hours before they were able to leave.

“All the sudden as we’re driving the power poles with those lives wire were just snapping in front of us,” Tamara Randall, who was visiting Cedar Point with her family, told newsnet5.com.
