There will be no charges filed in the 2013 death of Kendrick Johnson, the U.S. Justice Department said Monday, citing insufficient evidence in the Valdosta, Georgia, case.

A medical examiner determined in 2013 that Johnson died of “positional asphyxia” after he was found dead in a rolled-up gym mat at Lowndes High School.

Officials from the U.S. attorney’s office met with Johnson’s family Monday and informed them the investigation had concluded, the Justice Department said.

Clinton Burying Trump: $42 million To $1.3 million:

Donald Trump faces an extraordinary money deficit unheard of in modern presidential politics, entering the month with tens of millions of dollars less than Hillary Clinton.

Clinton’s campaign had $42 million in the bank as of May 31, according to its report filed with the Federal Election Commission Monday. Her super PAC Priorities USA has $52 million.
Trump’s campaign has $1.3 million.
The gulf emerges as Democrats lay out plans to spend that cash on an onslaught of television advertising that Trump has shown no urgency in matching. Clinton and her allied groups are planning to spend $117 million between Tuesday and Election Day on television — much of it anti-Trump television — while Trump and his groups have $700,000 in time awaiting him thus far.

J.J. Abrams And Tavis Smiley Partner On Michael Jackson Series:

J.J. Abrams and Tavis Smiley are teaming up to create a miniseries about Michael Jackson’s final months.

The series will be based on a new book from Smiley, “Before You Judge Me: The Triumph and Tragedy of Michael Jackson’s Last Days.” The book releases Tuesday and is described as a “novelistic rendering of the final months in the life of one of the most iconic figures in modern popular culture.”
Warner Bros. Television, which like CNN is owned by Time Warner, is producing the project. A network is not yet attached.
Smiley and Abrams will serve as executive producers. Their production companies, Smiley TV and Bad Robot, announced in April they are also developing a television series about Smiley’s 2014 book, “Death of a King: The Real Story of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s Final Year.
