Sit-In Spurs Late-Night Clash On House Floor:
Democrats and Republicans in the House of Representatives are in a dramatic standoff over how to resolve a sit-in entering its second day.
Democrats, led by civil rights icon John Lewis, took control of the chamber Wednesday morning demanding a vote on gun control legislation. But Republicans are resisting, saying they don’t want to give in to such protest tactics.
The tension exploded onto the floor just after 10 p.m. ET when Republican Speaker Paul Ryan gaveled the chamber into order to hold a procedural vote on an unrelated matter. An extraordinary scene unfolded as throngs of Democrats — some holding signs with the names of victims of gun violence — remained in the House well chanting “no bill, no break” and “shame shame shame.” They also sang the protest anthem “We Shall Overcome.”
Cleveland Turns Out To Celebrate NBA Champions:
From the looks of it, every single person in Cleveland turned out for the city’s first world championship parade in more than 50 years on Wednesday.
The once title thirsty city celebrated the NBA champion Cavaliers with a nearly two-mile parade that saw crowds at some points about 40 or 50 people deep.
Some people scaled a parking garage to get a glimpse of the hoops heroes as they came by. Some people also climbed on signs and atop the small shelters at bus stops.

Bernie Sanders: ‘It Doesn’t Appear That I’m Going To Be The Nominee’:
Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders appeared to admit defeat to Hillary Clinton in the fight for the Democratic presidential nomination Wednesday.
“It doesn’t appear that I’m going to be the nominee,” Sanders said in an interview on C-SPAN.
Sanders continued to campaign through the final primary election — which was held in Washington, D.C., last week — despite Clinton clinching the needed number of pledged delegates the prior week.
After losing to Clinton in D.C., Sanders spoke to supporters in a web address and pledged to continue his campaign’s fight to the convention, but also vowed to help Clinton defeat Donald Trump.
