Leroy “Blast” Bill Black was most definitely a loved man. So much so that when he died of lung cancer on Tuesday at his home, he was memorialized with not just one obituaries but two.

According to NOLA.com, The Press of Atlantic City printed two obituaries for the 55-year-old man in the same edition of the newspaper on Thursday. One was written by “his loving wife Bearetta Harrison,” the other by his girlfriend Princess Hall.

The dueling obits ran right above the other and even featured the same photo. But why? “The wife wanted it one way, and the girlfriend wanted it another way,” someone at the funeral home handling Black’s arrangements told the Philly Voice.

Black’s funeral will be held this afternoon at Atlantic City’s Greenridge Funeral Home. It should be an interesting one, and hopefully the messiness will cease.
