  • According to ABC News, Betty Shelby, the officer who shot and killed Terence Crutcher in Tulsa, Oklahoma last week, was charged with first-degree manslaughter.

The District Attorney Steve Kunzweiler said during a press conference.

“We reviewed the facts of the allegations, it is our responsibility to determine if the filing of a criminal charge is justified under the law. In the matter of the death of Terence Crutcher, I determined that the filing of the felony crime of manslaughter in the first degree, against Tulsa police officer Betty Shelby, is warranted. Officer Shelby, although now charged, is presumed to be innocent until a judge or jury determines otherwise.”
