The New York Times has discovered something we already knew.
You can run to your friends in New York, Los Angeles and Chicago and tell them this place they call the “mistake on the lake” is actually pretty cool. We know you already knew that, but here’s another reason to add to the list – the Times says the Cleveland Orchestra is America’s best.
Even better still, they say the orchestra members are humble about it. But now we’ll not-so-humbly brag for them.
“It’s kind of an understated celebration, and that is absolutely true to the Cleveland Orchestra’s character,” the ensemble’s executive director Gary Hanson told NYT. “It would rather not make noise. The quality of the performance is always supposed to be the loudest voice.”
