*During the time that Chris Rock and his wife Malaak were going through a divorce, his Mother, Rose Rock, was also battling cancer.
Rock opened up about this difficult time in his life during a 2017 interview with Rolling Stone. The irony is that his mother was being treated at Sloan Kettering in New York, a facility on the same street as his divorce attorney’s office.
“I thought that was the most evil street in the world,” said Rock.
Rock said he took care of his sick mother in the New Jersey home he’d purchased for her many years ago. The home is in the same neighborhood as his ex-wife’s home
