We received some sad news in the family of the Cleveland Cavaliers on Tuesday night.
The team announced that Kirk Korver, the younger brother of Cavs guard Kyle Korver, passed away at the age of 27. Kyle will take time away from the team and will not play on Wednesday when the Cavaliers host Toronto.
Kirk Korver died in Iowa after becoming seriously ill last week. At that time, Kyle Korver left the Cavs for a few days and did not play in last Saturday’s win in Chicago.
Kirk played college basketball at the University of Missouri-Kansas City.
