Family and friends of Saniyah Nicholson, as well as community members, attended a public viewing Friday morning for the 9-year-old girl who was killed by crossfire in Cleveland.
The viewing for Saniyah is scheduled to take place until 7 p.m. at the Gaines Funeral Home on Lee Road in Maple Heights.
Saniyah will be laid to rest on Saturday. A wake will be held at Second Ebeneezer Baptist Church on East 71st Street in Cleveland and is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. Her funeral will immediately follow.
Police say Saniyah was killed on Lee Road on June 20 after two groups of individuals started shooting at each other. She was sitting innocently in her mother’s car with her sister when she was fatally struck by crossfire.
Three juveniles and three adult males have been arrested and are being charged in connection to the young girl’s death.
