Browns rookie wide receiver Antonio Callaway was cited in Strongsville Sunday night for marijuana possession, authorities confirmed.
The 2018 NFL draft pick was cited on Howe Road at about 3 a.m. on Sunday morning, according to court records. He was charged with possession of a controlled substance – marijuana and driving with a suspended license.
According to the police incident report, Callaway was driving a vehicle and was stopped at 2:59 a.m. on Aug. 5 when an officer observed him failing to yield to oncoming traffic while turning onto Howe Road.
Callaway’s driver’s license was found to be suspended. The officer also found “a small amount” of suspected marijuana under the driver’s seat, the report states.
The vehicle was picked up by a family member, the report continues. Callaway was ordered to appear in Strongsville Mayor’s Court on Thursday at 9:30 a.m.
