Bishop Charles Ellis, who presided over Aretha Franklin funeral on Friday, says he’s sorry for touching pop star, Ariana Grande inappropriately.
Here’s the back story:
After Ariana Grande’s performance at the funeral, Bishop Ellis had her come to the podium, where he hugged her, and asked the church to show her some love.
People began posting the clip on social media accusing Bishop Ellis of having his hands too close to Ariana’s breast.
Bishop Ellis talked with the Associated Press after the funeral, where he issued an apology.
It would never be my intention to touch any woman’s breast … I don’t know I guess I put my arm around her,” Ellis said.
“Maybe I crossed the border, maybe I was too friendly or familiar but again, I apologize.”
