Jesus saves. Not just from sin, but also from depression.

While accepting the EE “Rising Star” award at the British Academy of Film and Television arts (BAFTA) Awards Sunday, Black Panther star, Letitia Wright, who is an outspoken and unashamed servant of Christ, shared how her faith helped her win her own battle with depression.

“I identify myself as a child of God,” said the 25-year-old as she accepted the award formerly known as the Orange Rising Star Award, which is the only award voted on by the public in England.

Wright, who plays Shuri in two of Marvel’s blockbuster films, Black Panther and Avengers: Infinity War, told the audience, “I can’t get up here without thanking God,” and sharing a testimony of personal triumph.
